We suggest that to secure the best deals, you book direct with each host. Be aware that the hamlet of Dockray has very limited accommodation, but there is also the option of staying at the nearby village of Glenridding and using a local taxi service for the short journey.
Please note that there may be a ‘minimum stay’ policy at some places. However, these can be subject to change throughout the year so it’s best to ring for confirmation. For example, even though the National Trust’s policy is for a “minimum stay of two nights” at their campsites, if you explain that you only have a small tent and that you are walking a long-distance path, the chances are they will accommodate you. Same goes for the Caravan and Camping Club (CCC).
